Russian cool cat Sportloto (AKA Andrey Rublev) is making quite a name for himself in the remix realm. He comes from the Western Urals and makes some of the most splendid electronic music around. The title track "Will I" started out as an instrumental on our sister labels' TIRK03 sampler. After bags of attention and plaudits we decided to nudge things into vocal-drive and add a nifty vocal. Michelle Bee ably assists with a smouldering and sultry tones. If chord movements and darting electronic lines and arpeggios are your thing then you will love the original.
On the remix tip Fabrizio Mamarella (1/3 of Clap Rules and Bearfunk big dog) chips in with the remix. He takes the organic analog route and trims things down nicely for the dance floor. To round off the package and give an enticing glimpse into the cool production skills of Andrey, we've also included the track "Metamorphosis." Andrey is busy at work on his debut album for Nang as we speak… stay tuned.
